That's what happens if your mom calls you to buy suka (vinegar) at the local sari-sari (variety) store just when everyone was starting to play. Well... that's what happens to me most of the time I guess. :D
Taya is the Tagalog term to refer to the person who is "It".
So the easiest way of determining who's it is by asking one more person to join. :P
